Biographical
Sketch |
||||
|
||||
Kenneth has been seconded to the NIE from the
MOE for the past five years. Before his time at the NIE, he worked
in a variety of education settings, from a military school, to an
independent school, to a neighbourhood school, and junior colleges.
He also spent three years at the Curriculum Planning & Development
Division of Singapore's Ministry of Education, where he developed
the thinking skills package for geography.
Kenneth was elected to the Chair of the Geography Teachers' Association of Singapore in 2003, and was re-elected twice. Between 1995 and 1998, he authored and maintained 'No Place Like Home: a cyberbook on the geography of Singapore'. In 2006, this site was selected for inclusion in the National Library Board's 'Web Archive Singapore', on the grounds of its national and historical significance in shaping national identity. |

Research
Interest |
||||
Kenneth is still trying to get a good grip on just how serious a serious game can be, and why some game developers are more serious than others. To distract him from all this seriousness, Kenneth leads a Second Life as Veritas Raymaker. |

Projects |
||||
Kenneth is part of a team at the LSL which is developing a National Education videogame - he is responsible for the development of the curricular materials to accompany 'Space Station Leonis'. |
