David is a Research Assistant at the Learning Sciences Laboratory. Prior to joining LSL in September 2009, he worked in Market Research and Fundraising. He is a graduate from Edith Cowan University, Perth (Master of Professional Marketing), and Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta (Bachelor of Science in Statistics).
He is currently working in the GenSing Project - a project that studies how teaching and learning function-based algebra in Secondary Schools is impacted by networked classroom technologies and generative pedagogy.
Working in NIE is proving to be a blast for David since he had always wanted to pursue research in the academe. He is interested in Quantitative Methods, Data Analysis and Visualization.
Well actually, he is easily interested with alot of things, especially new / novel things, ideas & concepts. As a result, he often finds himself having too many things to pursue but too little time to do it (Hmm.. don't we all? :) ). Some of the things that he recently encountered and intrigued him are: Arduino, Linux, Processing (the programming language), Python, Errors (in the learning of mathematics), and cloud computing.
